XPS
HK$60.00 - HK$1,200.00
1. Sample requirements: Provide 20-30mg of powder sample. If the quantity is small, please wrap it in aluminum foil before placing it in a tube for shipping. For bulk/film samples, the dimensions should not exceed 5*5*3mm. If the sample size is larger than 5*5*3mm, additional fees will be charged based on size.
2. Test explanation: Elements with atomic percent content less than 5% may not produce a significant signal! The default narrow spectrum test measures the strongest peak orbitals. H and He elements cannot be tested. Please communicate in advance for radioactive elements. Test 1s orbitals for elements Li-Mg, 2p orbitals for Al-Zn, 3d orbitals for Ga-Dy, 4d orbitals for Ho-Lu, and 4f orbitals for Hf-Cm. If you have special requirements, please note them.
3. We provide the raw data by default. The full spectrum data only includes the spectra, and the fine spectrum data is not corrected (as different materials require different correction methods), and the data is not smoothed.
4. Number of test positions: By default, one sample is tested at one position. If multiple positions need to be tested, charges will apply as if for multiple samples. For film, bulk, and other samples, if the surface composition is not uniform, it will cause differences in test results.
5. Overlapping peaks that may occur with the use of Al Kα X-ray: Direct quantitative results cannot be referred to when overlapping peaks are present. Common overlapping peaks include Li1s & Co3p; B1s & P2s; C1s & Ru3d5/2, Ru3d3/2; C1s & K2p; O1s & NaKLL, etc.
6. Special requirements: Samples containing elemental S, F, I, Br, Hg, Cl, P cannot be tested, or for other special requirements, please contact the local project manager.
7. Sample packaging requirements: After sample preparation, vacuum sealing is recommended to reduce the adsorption of pollutants from the air, which can affect the testing of certain elements, such as the common C and O.
8. XPS testing requires the sample to be fixed on the sample stage with conductive adhesive, so the tested powder sample cannot be recovered. Recovery of bulk samples may also be contaminated or damaged, so it is advised not to recover samples.
9. If there are special requirements, please leave a note, such as data format (default formats are Thermo Fisher VGD format - software Avantage, Shimadzu VMS format - software Casa, PHI-SPE format - software Multipak), and target material, with Al target used for default testing.
